Sodick Electron Beam Polishing Machine " EBM "

 

The Sodick "EBM electron beam PIKA surface finishing machine" is a ground-breaking unit that employs an electron beam to apply mirror finishes in an extremely short time (approximately 10 min), even on large surfaces. It can be used for mirror finishes in many areas, including precision dies and plastic injection mold inserts machined to extremely close tolerances!

The EBM process produces mirror finishes by utilizing a uniform 60mm wide electron beam. This electron beam is applied using specially developed exposure conditions in extremely short repeating bursts to a work piece placed on a table in a vacuum vessel.
